For the 9th year in a row, you get the opportunity to be in on the front row and photograph the wonderful artists playing at Moldejazz.

Writer Edvard Hoem will do the official opening of the 59. Molde International Jazz Festival on Monday 15. July, at 12.00, SpareBank 1 SMN-scenen i Alexandraparken.

Gard Nilssens’s Supersonic Orchestra, Highasakite, Incognito, Dagny, Ole Børud, GB Blues Express, Lil Halima and Master Oogway are all ready for this years festival.

Jazzmeia Horn, Steinar Raknes & The Stillhouse Band, Hot Club de Norvège, Bech & Skeidsvoll New Orleans Band og Ytre Suløens Jass-Ensemble plays in «Kikkans Hall», the new name for the Magic Mirror-tent in the town hall-square.

"Klangen av Hoem" is a gala-concert for Edvard Hoem, 70 years. As one of the most conspicuous writers of our time, he's celebrated at this year's Moldejazz.

Marcus Miller, Joshua Redman – Still Dreaming, Henry Threadgill – Zooid, Madrugada, Bushman’s Revenge feat Per «Texas» Johansson and Anja Lauvdal, Fred Hersch Trio, Gåte, Luke Elliot and Gard Nilssen’s Acoustic Unity feat Ambrose Akinmushire are all confirmed for Moldejazz 2019.

Fra 2019 vil Moldejazz ta i bruk Hoopla som billettsystem.

Artist In Residence på Moldejazz 2019 er Gard Nilssen, en av Norges travleste og mest kreative trommeslagere. Gard Nilssen har et bankende hjerte for jazz og improvisert musikk. Han har gjestet Moldejazz en rekke ganger og med mange ulike band, senest i 2017 med en triokonsert med Pat Metheny og Arild Andersen som ble omtalt med de største superlativer.

For å unngå svartebørssalg legger Moldejazz ut 100 billetter til Di Derre og Ola Kvernbergs Steamdome på konsertdagen, 20. juli.
Maks 2 billetter pr person.

Det er satt opp ekstra nattbussar i kommunane Molde, Fræna, Eide og Aukra under jazzveka.
